claiming my feedster blog

Anyone else having problems with feedster? I’ve been trying to claim my blog but as it won’t let me log in with my username and password it is a bit difficult to do. If I put in my email address (which is not my login id) then the new password gets sent and I can read it, but when I put it into the form it tells me that the username/password is incorrect. Emails to the feedback contact don’t get answered.
Then this morning I went to check and found that my feed has been deleted at the request of the user – huh????? The only thing I’ve done is changed my default feed on the web page, but the old feed still gets published and I didn’t explicitly ask for it to be deleted. grrrrr

My axim themes have gone :-(

Yes I know it is a long time since I posted a theme for the pocketpc but I was debugging the output of this page and checked some of the links and the link to aximelated on pocketpcthemes no longer works as they changed servers, software and removed the capabilites to search for themes by name, user, description etc.
I knew I should have saved the themes locally. I think I do have them somewhere on one of my backups…..

In other news, hopefully all the divs and spans on this page should match up which should make debugging/designing css slightly easier for me.

House updates – a viewer turned up!

Well the move is a step closer tonight due to the fact that the viewer scheduled for tonight actually showed up! The one that was meant to have come this morning had the decency to let us know that they had to postphone the meeting but the two before that just never showed up 🙁 We’re going to give the estate agent Kristen’s mobile number so they can at least ring us to say if they are going to be delayed or need to cancel.

New blog features

I changed my rss feed location to Absoblogginlutely on feedburner as this should hopefully reduce the amount of traffic that I use, I only need to provide 1 feed, flickr photos can be included and I also get an easier method to track stats and clickthroughs from the feeds. You the user, should not see that much of a difference. At the moment I have not put in redirects for my current feeds, so current subscribers will use my feeds, new subscribers will get the feedburner feed.
I’ve also signed up for a gravatar with a new email address so expect to see that on your blog comments soon and I’ll soon be adding the plugin to this site for comments.

Fridays trip to Birmingham

Friday I took the day off for my birthday and we met up with Tash & Dave (non-bloggers) to go to Birmingham’s BullRing shopping centre and then to Outback for tea. The bullring was an interesting shopping centre – not the usual meadowhell/trafford centre type layout of shops and the outer design is definately funky in the extreme. I was not impressed at the parking fee’s though – it is VERY expensive to park in the middle of birmingham – we paid over £5 for 3 hours parking. I managed to get one geocache done, A bit of ….. which is a bit of a cheat really as it was a virtual and needed a photo taken of a bull statue. After lunch we went to see Hitch which was very good and funny (although the funniest bits were shown in the trailers for the film. We went to an AMC cinema and that was suprisingly cheap, £3 for the matinee performance and £5 for shows after 6pm. The local Vue cinema near us charges £6 and you have to pay about £3 for parking so a night out at the cinema works out pretty expensive (which is why we go on Orange Wednesday’s instead). Photo’s uploaded to my flickr page.

House for sale in Congleton.

Three bedroom semi-detached property in Congleton, Cheshire, UK benefiting from gas central heating, good sized gardens, off-road parking and garage. The Rightmove website has all the details or you can see the Timothy Brown estate agents site too. I had posted one of these urls a while back but I missed out a quote so the link never actually appeared on the page even though it was in the code so here it is again.
