Bloggar is still giving me “timed out” messages when posting. I reckon this is to do with the pinging of weblogs.com. A quick way to check bloggar HAS posted, is to do the Posts/Last 5 posts and ensure that the post you just posted is in the list.

Hep looks like an interesting site to keep an eye on- its software that allows you to get email,rss feeds etc in one client – your mail utility and also send stuff out in exactly the same way. Unfortunately it needs Python, so I’m going to wait until a nice GUI installer comes out as the owner recommends 🙂

Asked Meryl to add this blog to her list of sites using CSS for layout. The reply said I’m added but they are working on a new list due to the volume of people joining, which is good news!

Home Page Reader is not a good program to install on your pc. 1) The download software has expired. 2) It hijacks the start page of your browser to point to its internal documentation page 3) There is no uninstall icon in the start menu neither is there a single uninstall routine. There are homepage tutorials, the application and 7 language files – and I don’t know what else (each with their individual add/remove/are you sure routines! – ARGGGGH!

If you keep sending me virus’s by email, do yourself a favour and get hold of Norton Anti-Virus at £23 from amazon!

Tut Tut Tut. The Hotpoint website will only allow you in if using internet explorer or netscape AND uses flash with no text alternative. However, when I get to the competition page it just keeps on reloading in ie 🙁

Update Out of interest I am downloading the 31 day trial version of IBM’s WebPage Reader software that is commonly used by blind people to see how accessible the hotpoint site is, and also my own and works site. I remembered reading a while ago on a blog somewhere about the Astronomy picture of the day that had been scraped into an RSS feed which means I can use it in Newzcrawler and get the daily picture. Problem was I couldn’t remember where I had seen it. Google later and I had found the article on the Shifted Librarians site.

I’ve been playing Ratchet and Clank which we got out from the library – its a bit like Crash Bandicoot, but the graphics are better. Still just as infuriatingly hard though! It has to go back on Wednesday, but if I get it from the its 10 pounds cheaper at 29.99 than anywhere else I’ve seen!
