I now know why Kelly’s counter gives me an error and tries to load Acrobat Reader. The java routine tries to detect if I have acrobat reader installed (and other programs) presumably, to put in the stats of the web page. Somehow this is broken on my pc, and instead of just checking for the plugin, it launches it! Now to work out how to fix it on the pc, or disable the routine altogether…I might just put jellycounter in my etc/hosts file and point it to 127.0.0.1 😉
