Ok, the things that I have noticed in the new bloggar:-
Account names are now sensible, icon for the account name now appears in the bottom of the screen. Templates can be created for new posts, files and images can be uploaded, categories and titles are now available for MT users. Posts can now be saved to disk and reloaded later on. When creating links to other pages the dialog box now has the ability to put in the text of the link and the title (thats the tooltip that appears when you hover over a link). Importing of text files, Editing of a post by id number (rather than by hunting for the post in “last X comments” etc.
I *love* this headline. Queen saves the butler. Its about how the queen intervened to “save” Princess Di’s butler. More likely that she didn’t want the Royal Familys Dirty Laundry and the real story getting out into the courts and therefore into the public knowledge. Apparently the queen had no knowledge about the trial before she intervened at the last moment. If thats the case then i’d have to wonder just what else she knows about the rest of the country that she is meant to be in charge of! This case has been hitting the headlines for weeks and she claims she didnt know her information would influence the case? If that is true then she is …..
The new version of Bloggar is out and it looks really good. For those of you using the blogger software (like me) then you won’t notice too much difference (that I’m aware of at the moment) but it does not allow you to call the accounts by name instead of Account 1 etc. You can also now get it to upload images and files that you refer to in your postings too. If you are running Moveable Type then there are options for posting categories and titles. Well worth downloading and registering I think. This will be my Novembers donation/registering project. Last months was conquercam
Woohoo – I won another competition this week (thats two!). I won something from Begley’s – I’ll find out what it is when it arrives I guess!. In the meantime, enter their weekly competition this week (and see my name in lights (or at least in html)) here
Downloaded and installed the latest (beta) version of MusicMatch Jukebox today. I’ve started using the online music radio streaming. There are several built in radio streams that you can listen to, but you can also create your own by putting in your favourite artists. I am well impressed with it. The only downside is that it looks like you can’t have the beta version AND the non-beta version installed as everytime I try to load the regular version the pc gpf’s 🙁
Was doing a bit of surfing on the privacy list and it mentioned an adware software component that often gets installed by cable modem installers by default. Seeing as though my ParentsInLaw are getting this and want me to install their pc, thought i’d take a look at it. This then led me to some useful links which helps you determine if all those programs that you have running at startup are really necessary or not.
Neil talked about the 80’s purity test, and I got 79.2% 80’s pure

I won tickets to go see 1984 at the local theatre – closing date Saturday so I need to know when Kristen is free in the evenings this week! AND i hope to go see TheBandWithNoName on Friday night as I enjoyed the last gig I went to…I think they are a bit like a christian version of the Beastie Boys, so that should be quite interesting.
