GameRankings looks like a good PlayStation2 site which ranks games that have been released. That way I can tell if the cheapo ps2 game I’m going to buy is pants or not. Seeing as though the new games are so expensive, its worthwhile. The annoying thing is that John Lewis were doing a good tenner or more off if you spent over 20quid, but the offer has expired 🙁

Grrrr – the uk.shopsmart.com site has now closed. Shame as that was quite useful. In other news, Ohio State won their game last night which makes them record breakers (cue corny jazz music!) (link to Google News)
Crucial.com has a utility available, Belarc Advisor, in their memory selector which audits your pc and then provides you with a webpage with the hardware details, software installed on your pc, hotfixes installed/broken, user ids etc etc. A Very useful auditing tool. The only problem is that they say its not meant to be used on corporate pc’s and should only be used for personal use. (which is a bit weird as its given on Crucial’s website which corporates would use to order more memory. Anyway, check out the utility as it is a great way of knowing all about your pc!
Argghh…two days after getting MT working on the laptop and having a chance to use it, it’s died….Now I’ll have to see how long before work stumps up for a new one!
grrrr. I’ve just had a Satellite broadband salesperson try and convince me that an ADSL broandband, always on connection is limited to 150 hours a month. Not sure what part of “Always on” they don’t understand. Needless to say I wasnt interested!
I’ve been playing Ratchet and Clank on the new PS2 – its a great game. For help, walkthroughs and cheats (which I’ve not used yet – honest!) click on this useful link at zdnet
WinXP pages are a useful guide to what services or not can can be left installed on an XP machine. I saved 20MB of ram on my installation
Useful for filling in those pesky marketing forms, Oftel has a link which gives numbers that don’t exist for use in drama scenes ie 0161 496 0008. This is great for giving out fake or dummy numbers to salesmen or even to some dodgy person down the pub.
ASP Photo Gallery V2 might be handy to take a look at. Sounds like they were using similar ideas to my asp gallery idea, but they are using xml to store the data rather than an access database. This version will only support one directory too.
