Ever felt like this during a sermon?
If so, then there could be any number of reasons why that is the case. It may be because of poor preaching - if so, I apologise for myself and for any other preacher who has failed to effectively carry out his holy responsibility. On the other hand, the fault may lie with you and I as listeners.
Perhaps the reason you don't benefit from preaching is because you are unprepared to hear what God has to say to you. I am convinced that just as those who preach sermons have a great responsibility, so do those who hear them.
So, how should you and I listen to preaching?
Maybe you have never given it much thought. On the other hand, you may have given the idea much prayerful attention over the years. Whichever is the case, here are some valuable links that will help you as you listen to sermons week by week.
