Several times each year, some of the more adventurous men amongst us at WHBC pluck up our courage and go paintballing.
We begin with an 8am full English breakfast at the church, followed by a 15 minute direct gospel talk, and go on to take part in a frenzied morning of running, crawling, hiding and shooting at DeltaForce just outside Holmes Chapel. Aside from being good fun, it is primarily an opportunity to invite friends to hear the news that Jesus Christ changes lives and to get to know some of us who have experienced something of that change. Today was a great time together - the only downside was the very deep and very smelly mud that accompanied every single game zone.
Not one of us remembered to bring a camera on this occasion, so I will post an oldie from the archives to give you a flavour of the combatants...

One would never act in such an ungentlemanly fashion.

Posted by: Andy at March 18, 2007 2:20 AMWhat a great idea! We should try to organize something like this for our church. I wonder how hard it would be to persuade my father...
