Went to collect our dog today. He has been on an extended holiday since the start of our extension work, firstly on a friend's farm and then with a couple in Crewe. Every home should have its own dog. Ours is one of these and looks very much like this. His name is Tyndale (after William Tyndale) and it is good to have him home.
Flat tyres are a pain. My wife had one today on her way for a doctor's appointment - will leave it overnight and change it in the morning.
As part of my girls' Christmas present, I bought them tickets to go and see the very last Atomic Kitten concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena. Me and the boys went to Pizza Hut and then to the Filmworks to see School of Rock. Unfortunately we had to come out early to collect the girls - we will have to go again with all the kids to see the end. I have seen worse movies.
"As part of my girls' Christmas present, I bought them tickets to go and see the very last Atomic Kitten concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena."
he means:
"As part of my Christmas present, I bought my girls' tickets to go and see the very last Atomic Kitten concert at the Manchester Evening News Arena."
This not only got them out of the house... but allowed him to go to the cinema...
Pragmatics are evil...
